Prince George’s County Council Member Karen R. Toles (D) – District 7 will join County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and the County’s Redevelopment Authority (RDA) on Monday, May 5, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the demolition of the former Mount Ararat Church Building, a blighted building at 4809 Suitland Road, Suitland, Maryland.
 
Suitland is among the District 7 communities Council Member Toles represents.   “This is a significant and long-awaited moment for the residents of Suitland.  I appreciate the opportunity to work with County Executive Baker and the Redevelopment Authority to continually enhance our communities, and I am excited as we move forward in anticipation of a truly transformed neighborhood.”
 
The Redevelopment Authority purchased the blighted building in November 2013.   The one-acre property is located near the intersection of Suitland Road and Silver Hill Road.
