Gloria Brown, Director
Welcome to the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services website. We invite you to take a look around our site to learn more about our programs and services.
The mission of the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services is to partner with our customers, community and other service providers to stabilize and strengthen families, protect children and vulnerable adults, and encourage self-sufficiency and personal responsibility. We accomplish our mission by providing educational, financial, protective, referral and supportive services to citizens and residents of Prince George’s County.
We assist our customers through such programs as; Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Supplement Program, Medical Assistance, Emergency Assistance, Child Care Subsidy Program and Foster Care and Adoption Service.
We are committed to the delivery of quality service at every interaction. It is important that I hear from you, my customers, on a regular basis. To that end, I appeal to you to consider participating on the Department of Social services Customer Advisory Board. This Customer Advisory Board will be one of several opportunities for me, the director, to hear from our customers, share important information and problem-solve together to make "Your" Department of Social Services one of the best in the country. I hope you will consider this opportunity and I look forward to working with you.
