The Housing Authority owns and manages 392 units of public and assisted hous-ing in Prince George’s County. There are 376 public housing units, of which 296 units are for the elderly and 80 are family units. In addition, there are 16 units of assisted housing located at the Coral Gardens property. There are 5 public housing properties. They are 1100 Owens Road, Cottage City Towers, Rollingcrest Village, Marlborough Towne and Kimberly Gardens.

Services to the elderly residents of public housing include case management and referral services for those at risk of lease termination. The waiting lists for these properties are managed by the Central Intake Unit of the DHCD. Each applicant must meet the eligibility and suitability criteria for Public Housing. Applicants who are housed are required to be re-certified annually, for income eligibility determination. For further information, call the Central Intake Unit at (301) 883- 5050.
