The Assistant Chief of Police, Support Services, is an executive position under the direct leadership of the Chief of Police. The Assistant Chief of Police, Support Services, oversees the Strategic Management Bureau and the Investigative Services Bureau. Each bureau, commanded by a Deputy Chief, develops and implements internal monitoring systems to ensure administrative, investigative, and operational activities are in compliance with appropriate standards, policies, and procedures of Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Strategic Management Bureau

The Investigative Services Bureau consists of the following:

• The Community Policing Institute
• Personnel & Labor Relations
• The Policy Research, Management, and Accreditation Division
• The Psychological Services Division
• The Office of the Compliance Coordinator
• The Office of Professional Responsibility
• The Administrative Hearing Board Chairperson

Investigative Services Bureau

The Investigative Services Bureau consists of the following:

• The Criminal Investigations Division
• The Narcotic Enforcement Division
• The Forensic Services Division
• The Technical Services Division
