Patrol Services is comprised of the six geographical police Districts, Youth & Family Services and the Special Operations Division.

Each District station provides full time uniform patrol services and a majority of the criminal investigative service. School Resource officers are deployed from and supervised by the District stations in which the school is located. The manner is which the uniformed patrol officer provides service is currently being restructured from a Sector/Beat patrol system to Community Service Areas (CSA). CSAs will allow police officers to improve their ability provide service to the community in which they serve. The CSA system is being implemented gradually beginning in January 2004.

Youth & Family Services manages the Crossing Guard Unit, monitors all juvenile arrests, and coordinates various events throughout the year geared toward the safety, and constructive engagement of young people.
