Thank you for visiting the Prince George’s County Council’s FY 2014 Budget web page!

The enduring legacy of a democracy is shaped by the key contributions of the people. Council budget processes and decisions should reflect the will of the people we serve in Prince George’s County, making your participation as citizens vitally important. We hope this online budget tool will be a useful resource that encourages your active engagement as we discuss the priority issues that concern all of us – Transportation; Economic Development/Transit-Oriented Development; Healthcare; Education; and Public Safety.

The role of the County Council in the budget process is among the most important of our responsibilities as a legislative body. Once the County Executive submits the proposed budget to the County Council in March, the Council begins our process to review and adopt the FY 2014 Budget by June 1.
