Legislative Affairs

Dear friends, It is that time again when the U.S. Congress, Maryland General Assembly, and Prince George’s County Council convene for a new session. The decisions these bodies make have a profound impact on the health and well-being of the citizens of Prince George’s County.

A hallmark of the first two years of my Administration has been of forging partnerships with all levels of government - federal, state, regional, county and municipal - to deliver the best services for the people of our County. In so doing, we have enjoyed tremendous success!

This year, we want to build upon those successes. As One County with One Future, we want to build on our strength. That is why we are releasing this agenda (PDF), in conjunction with legislators at every level of government, to demonstrate in the halls of the U.S. Capitol, the State House and the County Administration Building, that we are unified behind this set of priorities for Prince George's County.

I firmly believe that government works best when the people are involved. The final product is always better. So I hope that in your review of this agenda, you will join us in seeking the services that the residents of Prince George's County need and deserve.
