Hours of Operation:
The
law library is open to the public 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Members of the Bar and Students may obtain
a pass to access the library after hours. See a library staff
member for a pass application during regular library hours.

Catalog:
The
Library has a walk-up terminal that contains the library
catalog. All holdings of the law library are listed. Please
see a library staff member with any questions regarding
the catalog. You may also access the Library Catalog online.
Internet
Legal Research:
There are a variety of legal resources available via the Internet. Currently, the Law Library offers its visitors five Public Access Internet terminals for legal research purposes. We are pleased to provide Public Access to Westlaw and Loislaw. To provide fair access to all Law Library users, we ask that you strictly access legal information only. Internet legal web sites such as Maryland's Peoples Law Library, Findlaw, and Lexis One are also permissible to use in the context of performing legal research activities. There is a 45-minute per day, per user time limit and users are subject to all other Law Library rules. We appreciate your cooperation and courtesy to all Law Library users. Computer print pages cost 25¢ per page. Please see a librarian if you have questions regarding legal information available via the Internet.
Sending and Receiving Faxes:
The law library offers incoming and outgoing fax services within the U.S. The cost is $1.00 per page.
Video Cassette Recorder and Television Monitors for Trial Use The library has four VCR/Television units and two DVD/VCR/Television units that may be reserved in advance for trial use. Contact Sharon Brandon, the Library Assistant for reservations at (301) 952-3439. |
