The Office of Emergency Management works closely with a wide variety of organizations. Listed below are some links to these organizations.

The FEMA website has information on Federal disaster programs. FEMA also has a kids page where kids are introduced to disasters and learn how to prepare for them. Prince George's County has been selected as a pilot project for this program.

MEMA is the State agency where the local jurisdictions receive the most up-to-date information regarding emergency management issues. MEMA also teaches emergency management field personnel in the four phases of emergency management.

We work closely with the American Red Cross to assist our citizens who have experienced a disaster.

We receive continuous weather updates from the National Weather Service enabling us to be prepared for weather-related disasters.

In 1999 Prince George's County was named as a Project Impact Community for the Year 2000.
