Assuring Quality Care in Senior Facilities

Most people want to stay in their own home as they grow older. When reviewing the choices, family members should keep in mind that the Health Department considers the safety of individuals in long-term care facilities a top priority. These facilities are regulated and regularly inspected to ensure that elderly and chronically ill individuals receive care in a safe environment.
