Seeking Public Input for the Local Health Improvement Plan
Prince George's County Health Department is seeking public input into the development
of a Local Health Improvement Plan for Prince George's County.
A draft version of this Plan, entitled Prince George's County Health Improvement
Plan 2011-2014: A Blueprint for a Healthier County is now available for review via
the link below.
The DRAFT Local Health Improvement Plan was written as part of a broader initiative
by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) to develop a State
Health Improvement Plan for Years 2011-2014. The purpose of the Plan is to provide
a framework for improving the health of all County citizens and residents and to
serve as a guide to key health stakeholders in allocating health resources and carrying
out future health planning activities that impact the County's overall health status.
The Plan includes health priorities and specific strategies that address those priorities
identified through various community health assessment activities undertaken during
the past three years.
Additional input from County residents, citizens, and health consumers is critical
to the success of this Plan in meeting our health improvement objectives.
