The Division of Community Planning and Development writes the County's Five-Year Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development and the Annual Action Plans to address priority housing and community development projects. These Plans allocate Federal entitlement funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership, Emergency Shelter Grant, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs. The Division administers about $20 million in these and other Federal funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), like special Congressional appropriations, Economic Development Initiatives, the Section 108 Guaranteed Loan Program, and Supportive Housing.
