Women's Resource Center
Mission
Empower every woman to achieve her highest potential by providing assistance, education and community service opportunities.
Vision
The Prince George’s County Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is envisioned as a comprehensive
organization which values the lives, talents, experiences and contributions of every woman in society. The
Center will serve as a collaborative, intellectual community where all learn and teach one another in an
atmosphere of mutual respect and in the pursuit of excellence.
The Center is distinguished by cultivating partnerships with existing public institutions, community based
organizations and talented individuals focused on enhancing the overall personal, social, economic and
educational lives of women in Prince George’s County.
Our clients will receive the highest quality of customer service, training opportunities and referrals for
services. The WRC will dynamically link the individual, community and organization in developing solutions for the historical and current conditions that inhibit the achievement of the Center’s mission.
The Women's Resource Center will:
- Ensure access to the extensive network of government and community programs providing housing, education, vocation and social services to women in Prince George’s County.
- Partner with organizations to promote the programs and services providing women with
motivation, training and educational opportunities.
- Facilitate community-driven “think tanks” to strategically address the issues associated with
Parenting, Employment, Health, Poverty, Domestic Violence, Personal Development and
