Community Educational Forums
The Administration for Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) provides educational forums throughout the year that are open to members of the community and professionals who work with children, youth and families. These forums are designed to:
- Educate the community-at-large regarding pertinent issues that relate to social, mental, emotional and physical development of children, youth and families.
- Heighten awareness to concerns related to children, youth and families
- Draw attention to areas of interest:

- GANG PREVENTION
- TRUANCY
- INFANT MORTALITY
- CHILD OBESITY AND NUTRITION
- SAFE TEEN DRIVING
- TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION
- CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT
- CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES
- FATHERHOOD INITIATIVES
- DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
- FAMILY VIOLENCE
- PARENTING
These forums are focused around the result areas from the Governor's Office for Children, which are:
- BABIES BORN HEALTHY
- CHILDREN SAFE IN THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES
- CHILDREN ENTERING SCHOOL READY TO LEARN
- CHILDREN SUCCESSFUL IN SCHOOL
- CHILDREN COMPLETING SCHOOL
- HEALTHY CHILDREN
- STABLE AND ECONOMICALLY INDEPENDENT FAMILIES
- COMMUNITIES WHICH SUPPORT FAMILY LIFE
