UPPER MARLBORO, MD – First Lady Leslie Johnson recently presented the Rogers Family of Cincinnati, Ohio, who were the winners of the inaugural Gorgeous Prince George’s Family Reunion Sweepstakes with a Welcome Proclamation, on behalf of Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson.

A special welcome ceremony was held in conjunction with the Conference and Visitors Bureau Annual Meeting at the Greenbelt Marriott.  The Rogers Family Reunion sweepstakes weekend package included a Family Fun Day & Picnic at Six Flags America; group transportation from First Priority Trailways; visits to Riversdale and the University of Maryland; and a special “Discover Thy Family” workshop.

After sharing a riveting poem, the First Lady Johnson said, “I know that Cincinnati, Ohio is your hometown however; I can assure you that during your stay in our beloved County it will soon feel like your home away from home.”

Yolawnda Rogers, who submitted her family’s information into the Sweepstakes competition, was overwhelmed with joy as a result of the First Lady’s presentation and the Prince George’s Conference and Visitor’s Bureau’s hospitality.

“I can tell that you are a strong and proud family.  Enjoy each other and reflecting upon fond memories, as you create another cherished time in the chapter of your family gatherings,” stated the First Lady Johnson before presenting the Family with a proclamation on behalf of the County Executive and the residents and citizens of Prince George’s County.
