UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson today has ordered that state and county flags at county government facilities
be flown at half-staff for one week in honor of Corporal Steven Gaughan.
On Tuesday, June 21, 2005, Prince George’s County Police Officer Corporal Steven F. Gaughan, from District VI, was shot and
killed in the line of duty. Corporal Gaughan is survived by his wife Donna, a former Corporal with the agency, and their two
children.
“As a show of solidarity, I am asking all companies and private facilities to fly their flags at half-staff as well,” Johnson
said.
“Please keep Corporal Gaughan's family in your thoughts and prayers in this most difficult of times.”
