Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred inGlenarden,Maryland.
On February 17, 2005, at approximately 10:20 a.m., 34-year old Robert Lee Humphries forced his way into an apartment that
he recently shared with his wife in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street.
Once inside, Mr. Humphries began attacking his wife with a knife.
A security officer for the apartment complex observed the attack and was able to apprehend the suspect prior to police arrival.
The victim, suffering from multiple stab wounds, was transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center where she was pronounced
dead a short time later.
She has been identified as 38-year old Linda Teresa Humphries.
The victim resided in the apartment where the attack occurred.
The suspect has been charged with First Degree Murder and was remanded to the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
