Prince George's County, Maryland...The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred
near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Riggs Road.
On October 8, 1990, the victim, Eugene Conley (who was 35 years old at the time) was shot as he was leaving a business near
the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Riggs Road. Investigators believed he was the victim of a robbery. The victim was
transported to a hospital where he was treated. Detectives investigating the shooting arrested a suspect, 30-year-old Anthony
Vincent Stroman, and charged him with Attempted Murder. He was found guilty and sentenced to 50 years in prison.
On September 15, 2005, the victim died at his residence in Washington D.C. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical
Examiner in Washington, D.C.
On December 5, 2005, investigators were advised by the medical examiner that the cause of death was due to complications from
a gunshot wound and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
