Before Your Baby Is Born

Your home visiting nurse can…

• Answer questions you may have about your pregnancy
• Help you find a doctor, food, clothes and rides to medical appointments
• Help you apply for WIC
• Explain things your doctor tells you
• Teach you what foods are good for you and your baby
• Explain how to prevent your baby from being born too soon
• Answer your questions about labor and delivery

• Books and magazines about pregnancy
• Sample baby supplies
• Healthy Kids magazine

After Your Baby Is Born

Your home visiting nurse can…

• Listen to your worries about being a new mom
• Help you learn what to do when your baby cries
• Answer your questions about baby care
• Help you find a doctor, clothing, formula and rides to the doctor
• Help you apply for WIC for your baby
• Let you know how to get help with day care costs
• Answer your questions about birth control
