Director Biography: Thomas Michael Thompson, Department of Housing and Community Development

Thomas Michael Thompson serves as the Director for Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development. He also serves as Executive Director for the Housing and Redevelopment Authorities. Mr. Thompson joined Prince George’s County Government in March 2003. Previously, Mr. Thompson served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Single Family Housing for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Thompson Group, LLC, Vice President in Marketing and Strategic Programs for the OAO Corporation, Associate Director of Finance for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Resolution Trust Corporation.

Mr. Thompson is a candidate for the Master’s of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary and a CPA. He also graduated with honors from Strayer University and is a devoted father to one daughter.
